He has been invoved in Hospital Radio since 1982, and currently presents various programmes across Local Radio stations across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, as well as Essential Country at Radio Hillingdon.
Rod has interviewed a mix of famous people, including motoring journalist and TV presenter Quentin Wilson, LeAnn Rimes (who he says is very nice indeed), Girls Aloud, Lulu, and 80's legends Nik Kershaw & Rick Astley.
A Mexican food lover and Watford supporter, Rod also follows Formula One when not playing computer games or entering pub quizzes.
